August 12, 2021 iMPACT! results

The August 12, 2021 Edition of Impact was a Professional wrestling television show of Impact Wrestling. It was taped in Skyway Studios in Nashville, Tennessee.

Event[]

The show opened with a singles match between Tenille Dashwood, with Kaleb with a K, and Taylor Wilde. In the end Kaleb tried to use a spray on Wilde's face, but accidentally hit the referee instead. Madison Rayne then rushed to the ring and attacked Wilde from behind, allowing Tenille to hit the Spotlight Kick and get the victory. Tenille and Rayne hugged after the match.

The second match had Daivari facing X Division Champion Josh Alexander for a shot at the title. #1 Contender Jake Something appeared in the middle of the match to watch it. Josh won after hitting the C4 Spike, and Something confronted him.

World Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers (Doc Gallows & Karl Anderson) were cutting a promo backstage when Violent By Design (Eric Young, Deaner, Rhino & Joe Doering) interrupted them, and Gallows went face to face with Joe Doering, but they were pulled apart before anything happened.

Kiera Hogan walked to the ring and dared Tasha Steelz & Savannah Evans to appear, but Su Yung & Kimber Lee appeared instead, and Kimber made her pass out with a mandible claw before dragging her away.

Backstage, Impact World Champion Kenny Omega with Don Callis ranted about having to defend the title against Christian Cage at AEW Rampage, and that was followed by a tag team match: Bullet Club (Chris Bey & Jay White) vs. FinJuice (Juice Robinson & David Finlay). The later had the match won after a Doomsday Device to Bey, but White attacked them with a chair, causing a disqualification, and hit Finlay with a Blade Runner into the chair.

Tasha Steels & Savannah Evans had an interview where Tasha explained why she betrayed Kiera Hogan, when Fallah Bahh appeared and asked for help against Decay, and they accepted. Melina, who will face Deonna Purrazzo for the Knockouts Championship at NWA Empowerrr, had an interview as well, and Deonna appeared to berate her, then showed footage of her training with Invicta FC Atomweight Champion Alesha Zappitella. Melina announced that she'll have a match next week.

There was another interview, where Christian Cage talked about facing Kenny Omega, and after that was a match between Matt Cardona and John Skyler. Cardona dominated most of it, but The Desi Hit Squad (Rohit Raju & Mahabali Shera) appeared and distracted him, allowing Skyler to roll him up in a schoolboy and get the win.

The main event was a 20-man battle royal to decide the #1 Contender for the Impact World Championship. W. Morrisey immediately eliminated Suicide, Johnny Swinger and Hernandez, just to then have everyone else team up to eliminate him. Steve Maclin invaded the match to eliminate Petey Williams. Deaner, Rich Swann, Rhino and Willie Mack were the next ones eliminated. No Way, Madman Fulton, Fallah Bahh, Trey Miguel and Eddie Edwards soon followed suit. Brian Myers eliminated his own partner, Sam Beale, and then ate a piledriver from Sami Callihan. Callihan and Ace Austin fought in the apron, and Fulton tried to save Ace, but Callihan eliminated him anyway, just to then be eliminated by Moose. While Chris Sabin and Moose brawled, Myers eliminated both of them to win the match.
