The February 17, 1997 Edition of WCW Monday Nitro was held in the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa, Florida.

Rey Mysterio Jr. defeated Super Calo
Steve McMichael defeated Hugh Morrus
Public Enemy defeated Jacques Rougeau & Carl Ouelett
Prince Iaukea pinned WCW TV Champion Lord Steven Regal to win the title with a crucifix at 3:30 after Regal became distracted by Rey Mysterio Jr. at ringside.

Prior to the bout, Gene Okerlund conducted an interview with Regal in the aisle regarding his upcoming title defense Sunday at SuperBrawl against Mysterio, during which Regal said Mysterio should stay at home with the other six dwarfs.
Mysterio appeared ringside during the closing moments after Regal repeatedly gestured for him to appear.
After the bout, Iaukea celebrated in the aisle with Teddy Long, Public Enemy, and WCW US Champion Eddie Guerrero.

Randy Anderson defeated Nick Patrick.

Pre-match stipulations stated Anderson would regain his referee job if he won the match.

Chris Benoit defeated Road Block
Kevin Sullivan defeated Doc Dean
WCW US Champion Eddie Guerrero defeated Konnan via disqualification at 6:04 when Meng & The Barbarian interfered and attacked the champion after he knocked Konnan off the top and landed the frog splash.

After the bout, Chris Jericho helped make the save, with Guerrero and Jericho shaking hands before the two left ringside

The Giant defeated Top Gun & Johnny Swinger
Chris Jericho defeated Jeff Jarrett
