After forcing her way into the No. 1 Contender's slot, Naomi will be the latest challenger to step up to the plate and try to dethrone Divas Champion Nikki Bella at Extreme Rules.
The funky Diva emerged as a potential contender to Nikki's title on the Raw after WrestleMania 31. When a Six-Diva Tag Team Match broke down into chaos, it was Naomi who escaped the fray to hit Nikki with the move she calls the Rear View to earn the victory for herself, Paige and AJ Lee. Later that week, Naomi said that the win over Nikki Bella wasn't a fluke, but she was more than willing to prove she was worthy of a title match, following up the claim with an emphatic victory over Natalya.
The following week on Raw, Naomi and Paige were the final two Divas in a No. 1 Contender's Battle Royal. The raven-haired Diva tossed Naomi from the ring to earn the title match in front of her home country of England. Paige's victory set Naomi off, leading the funky Diva to viciously attack her foe, putting her out of action indefinitely.
Naomi later revealed her motives, having pinned the Divas Champion, only to be looked over for a title opportunity. She went on to defeat Brie Bella in singles action on the April 20 edition of Raw before finally being awarded a match with Nikki at Extreme Rules.
