Daniel Garcia (September 17, 1998) is an American professional wrestler currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW). He is a former ROH Pure Champion.
Career[]
Early career (2017-2021)[]
Garcia made his debut in 2017, wrestling for various independent promotions in America. On the July 17, 2018 episode of 205 Live, Garcia debuted for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), but was defeated by Drew Gulak. Garcia would go on to win multiple titles before returning to WWE, losing to Tyler Rust on the January 27, 2021 episode of NXT.
All Elite Wrestling and Ring of Honor (2020-present)[]
On the September 15, 2020 episode of Dark, Garcia made his All Elite Wrestling (AEW) debut, teaming with Kevin Blackwood in a loss to The Butcher and The Blade. Garcia made his first appearance on Dynamite on August 4, 2021, partnering up with 2.0 (Jeff Parker and Matt Lee) in a losing effort against Darby Allin, Eddie Kingston, and Jon Moxley. The following week, Garcia was defeated by Allin in his first Dynamite singles match. In October, Garcia signed with AEW. To begin 2022, Garcia and 2.0 were defeated by Kingston and Inner Circle members Ortiz and Santana in a No Disqualification, No Holds Barred Match on the January 7 episode of Rampage. On the January 12 episode of Dynamite, Garcia unsuccessfully challenged Interim TNT Champion Sammy Guevara.
On the March 9, 2022 episode of Dynamite, Garcia was one of the founding members of The Jericho Appreciation Society, alongside Chris Jericho, Jake Hager, Jeff Parker, and Matt Lee, who had been renamed Angelo Parker and Matt Menard respectively. At Double or Nothing on May 5, The Jericho Appreciation Society defeated Kingston, Ortiz, Santana, and Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley of the Blackpool Combat Club, in an Anarchy in the Arena Match. On the June 29 episode of Dynamite, Garcia took part in the Blood and Guts Match alongside his Jericho Appreciation Society stablemates, however, the team would lose to Kingston, Ortiz, Santana, and Blackpool Combat Club.
Garcia made his debut for Ring of Honor (ROH) at Death Before Dishonor on July 23, losing to ROH Pure Champion Wheeler Yuta. On the August 17 episode of Dynamite, Garcia was defeated by Bryan Danielson in a Two out of Three Falls Match. After the bout, Jericho would attack Danielson, however, Garcia would intervene, creating tension between the two. On the September 7 episode of Dynamite, Garcia won the Pure Championship from Yuta before celebrating with Yuta and Danielson, furthering tensions between Garcia and Jericho. Later that month on the September 28 episode of Dynamite, Jericho gave Garcia a purple bucket hat, a gift he rejected. This would bring out Danielson, who told Garcia to make his own choice on who he aligns with. The following week, Danielson and Garcia were defeated by Jericho and Guevara, who had joined The Jericho Appreciation Society in June, after Jericho nailed Garcia with his ROH World Championship. Despite this, Garcia would cement his status as a Jericho Appreciation Society member after he helped Jericho retain the ROH World Champion against Danielson on the October 12 episode of Dynamite.
Garcia would go on to defend the Pure Championship against Brock Anderson and Leon Ruffin, before losing the title back to Wheeler Yuta at ROH Final Battle on December 10.
