Cru Jones has been a regular on the Georgia independent circuit since 2000, wrestling for Peachstate Wrestling Alliance, NWA Wildside Mid-Georgia Championship Wrestling, Anarchy Wrestling, Universal Independent Wrestling, Great Championship Wrestling, Southern Extreme Championship Wrestling and others.
Cru also wrestled for WWE developmental territory, Deep South Wrestling and had a brief run with Impact Wrestling.
