Comisión de Box y Lucha Libre Mexico D.F. or the “Mexico City Boxing and Wrestling Commission” is the governing and licensing body that oversees all boxing and wrestling promotions in Mexico. The Commission are strict on enforcing Lucha libre rules on masks including fines for wrestlers who have been unmasked putting the same mask back on to wrestle in Mexico.

Sanctioned wrestling championships[]

The Commission sanctions the "Mexican National" championships, a "National level" title that is theoretically independent of promotions but in praxis were divided more or less evenly between the two major promotions in Mexico Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA) and Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) where the titles are promoted as mid-level titles. AAA no longer uses any Mexican National Championships.
