Clash of Champions 2019 is an upcoming professional wrestling pay-per-view and WWE Network event produced by WWE for their Raw and SmackDown brands. It will take place on September 15, 2019 at Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. It will be the third event under the Clash of Champions chronology.
Storylines
The show will include matches resulting from scripted storylines, where wrestlers portray heroes, villains, or less distinguishable characters in scripted events that build tension and culminate in a wrestling match or series of matches. Results are predetermined by WWE's writers on the Raw and SmackDown brands, while storylines are produced on WWE's weekly television shows, Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live.
In August 2019, the 2019 King of the Ring was revived for the first since the 2015. Eight wrestlers from Raw and SmackDown will compete in a 16-man tournament beginning on the August 19 episode of Raw. The finals are scheduled for Clash of Champions.
During "A Moment of Bliss" on the 20 August edition of SmackDown, Charlotte Flair issued a challenge to Bayley for the SmackDown Women's Championship and Bayley accepted.
