Chuck Wepner was a male professional boxer. Wepner is best known for fighting Muhammad Ali for the World Heavyweight Championship in 1975. He nearly went the distance, but lost by TKO with 19 seconds left in the 15th and final round. His fight inspired Sylvester Stallone to create the movie Rocky.

In wrestling[]

In 1976, Wepner wrestled André the Giant, losing by count out after André threw him out of the ring. This fight may have inspired the wrestling match in Rocky III between Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) and Thunderlips (Hulk Hogan).

At WrestleMania XV, Wepner served as one of the judges for a boxing match between Eric Esch and Billy Gunn.
