Chavo & Hernandez refers to the tag team of Chavo Guerrero, Jr. and Shawn Hernandez.
History[]
It was announced on July 18, 2012 that Guerrero had signed with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA). He made his debut as a face on the July 26 episode of Impact Wrestling. During his debut speech, Guerrero was interrupted and attacked by Gunner and Kid Kash, before being saved by Hernandez. The following week, Guerrero defeated Kash in his TNA in-ring debut.
On August 12 at Hardcore Justice, Guerrero and Hernandez defeated Gunner and Kash in a tag team match. This was probably their first time teaming together.
On the September 6 episode of Impact Wrestling, Guerrero and Hernandez, after being hand-picked by Hulk Hogan as the number one contenders, unsuccessfully challenged Bad Influence for the TNA World Tag Team Championship.
On the following episode of Impact Wrestling, Guerrero defeated Christopher Daniels (one half of Influence) in a singles match to earn himself and Hernandez another shot at the World Tag Team Championship.
On October 14 at Bound for Glory, Guerrero and Hernandez defeated Bad Influence and A.J. Styles & Kurt Angle in a three-way match to become the new TNA World Tag Team Champions.
At the Slammiversary 2013 PPV Guerrero and Hernandez lost their tag titles in a fatal four-way elimination match to Storm & Gunner, the match also included the Bad Influence and the Dirty Heels.
