Burnaby is a city in British Columbia, Canada, just east of the city of Vancouver. It is the third-largest city in British Columbia by population, surpassed only by Vancouver and nearby Surrey. It was originally incorporated in 1892 and was named after explorer Robert Burnaby, who was the secretary of the first leader of the British Colombian colony.
