British Wrestling Revolution is a British independent professional wrestling promotion established in 2017. Their debut show "Uprising" was held on July 8, 2017.

BWR have shown a heavy focus on featuring young talent on their shows, with the likes of Joe Nelson, Scotty Rawk, Reese Ryan, and Cole Quinzel all making regular appearances.

History[]

BWR was formed from the ashes of the defunct Grimsby Wrestling Alliance by a group of fans and former GWA wrestlers, who wanted to bring wrestling back to Grimsby and Cleethorpes. Their first show, called "Uprising", took place on July 8, 2017.

The first champion was crowned on September 29, 2017, at "Take the Throne", when Joseph Conners defeated CJ Banks, Tom Weaver and Harry Winston for the BWR Heavyweight Championship.

EVO Wrestling Academy[]

It was announced on December 9, 2018 that BWR would be opening a training school. The school would be located at The Depot, Cleethorpes, and Robbie X and Matt Myers were announced as the Head Trainers. With the school opening on May 12, 2019.

After closure due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, BWR announced the reopening of the EVO Wrestling Academy in 2021, based in a new venue on Freeman Street in Grimsby, and coached by Matt Myers and Nathan Cruz.
