In professional wrestling, a Triple Crown Champion is a term describing a wrestler who has won the three most prestigious belts of their promotion - typically a heavyweight belt, a tag team belt, and a second-tier belt. A "multiple triple crown" distinction also exists, with having won the three constituent titles at least a specified number of times. Which in the case of WWE there is a triple crown of world champions from their three main rosters including the WWE Championship (Raw), the World Heavyweight Championship (Smackdown) and the ECW Championship (ECW)
Brand Championships
The following is a list of WWE Superstars who have won each brand's World Championship with dates indicating the wrestler's first reign with the respective championship.
If the ECW or World Heavyweight Championship never retired, these wrestlers are one title away from becoming a Brand Triple Crown:
- John Cena, Edge, Chris Jericho, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Randy Orton, Batista, Daniel Bryan, Alberto Del Rio, Jeff Hardy, The Undertaker, Kurt Angle, Sheamus, and Rey Mysterio require the ECW Championship.
- Rob Van Dam and Vince McMahon require the World Heavyweight Championship.
As of 2014, these WWE wrestlers are one title away from becoming a Brand Triple Crown Champion:
- Christian, Jack Swagger and Mark Henry require the WWE World Heavyweight Championship (formerly known as the WWE Championship).
