The August 5, 2021 Edition of Impact was a Professional wrestling television show of Impact Wrestling. It was taped in Skyway Studios in Nashville, Tennessee.
Event[]
The show opened with a singles match between Chris Bey and Juice Robinson, accompanied by Jay White and David Finlay respectively. In the end Jay distracted Juice and got attacked by Finlay, but the distraction was enough to let Bey hit Juice with the Art of Finesse and pin him. Jay then handed Bey a Bullet Club shirt, welcoming him into the faction.
The Elite were having an interview, when Violent By Design arrived to warn them that they'll be using their rematch clause for the World Tag Team Championships at Emergence. Fire 'N Flava then had an interview as well.
Matthew Rehwoldt & Deonna Purrazzo cut a promo in the ring, bragging about being the Homecoming King & Queen, when Mickie James showed up to remind the Knockouts Champion that she was defending her title at NWA, but didn't sign the contract yet. Deonna wanted to know who her opponent was going to be before doing it, and that opponent made her way to the ring: Melina! The contract promptly got signed by both of them.
Taylor Wilde had an interview where she explained why she disappeared from Impact for a while, and that was followed by a creepy vignette from Kimber Lee & Su Yung.
Next was a #1 Contender's match for the X Division Championship between Jake Something, Daivari, Rohit Raju (with Shera) and Trey Miguel. Something hit the Black Hole Slam on Daivari to win.
Backstage, Rohit had a fit of rage for losing the match and nearly hit Chelsea Green accidentally, causing Matt Cardona to confront him. X Division Champion Josh Alexander then had an interview, which was interrupted by Daivari. Josh said that if Daivari beat him in a match, he'd be the #1 Contender for the title, and he accepted the challenge.
The following match had Fire 'N Flava face Jordynne Grace & Rachael Ellering, with the latter getting the win after a swinging side slam on Kiera. After the match, Savannah Evans appeared in the ring to attack Kiera and ally herself with Tasha!
Frankie Kazarian answered why he came back to Impact in an interview. Violent By Design went to Scott D'Amore's office to talk about their rematch against The Good Brothers, and he revealed that Rich Swann & Willie Mack were going to participate in the match as well.
The next match was between Steve Maclin and Jah-C. As the tradition goes, the match was short and one-sided, with Maclin pinning Jah-C after a Michinoku Driver II-B. Post-match, Maclin tried to attack his downed opponent with a chair, but Petey Williams rushed to the ring to fight him off.
There was an episode of All About Me, Tenille Dashwood & Kaleb with a K's talk show, with Impact's resident doctor Ross as the guest host, but Scott D'Amore soon took his place to announce that Taylor Wilde wanted a match against Tenille. After this, Chris Sabin talked about Moose in an interview.
The main event of the night was a 6-man tag team match: The Elite (The Good Brothers & Kenny Omega, with Don Callis) vs. Sami Callihan, Eddie Edwards & Frankie Kazarian. It ended with Sami piledriving Omega on the apron and Eddie hitting the Boston Knee Party on Anderson to win. W. Morrisey attacked Eddie after the match, taking him out with a devastating powerbomb.
