Clint Barrow (April 22, 1989) is an American professional wrestler currently signed to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) on the NXT brand under the ring name Andre Chase. Prior to signing with WWE, he was known for his work in promotions including Ring Of Honor and EVOLVE under the ring name Harlem Bravado. He was a frequent tag partner of Lance Bravado under the team name The Bravado Brothers.
Professional wrestling career[]
Early career[]
As Harlem Bravado, he began his career in his home state of North Carolina for World Class Extreme Wrestling in June 2007 with Lancelot Bravado under the team name The Bravado Brothers. They wrestled in a three-way match for the WCEW Tag Team Championship. They would continue to wrestle as tag team partners for the majority of their careers throughout numerous independent promotions.
Ring Of Honor (2009-2013)[]
The Bravado Brothers appeared in a succession of dark matches from September until December 2009. They made their televised debut on the February 8 2010 episode of RoH, losing a tag match against Jon Davis and Kory Chavis of The Dark City Fight Club.
During July 2011, The Bravados competed in Number One Contendership Tournament matches for the ROH World Tag Team Championship. Their last Number One Contender match was held at the Final Battle pay-per-view in a Tag Team Gauntlet won by The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson).
During 2012 The Bravado Brothers received a single Tag Team title shot in the form of the ROH World Tag Team Title Tournament during which they were eliminated by Jimmy Jacobs & Steve Corino of team SCUM.
The Bravado Brothers' final in-ring appearance was made during the February 2, 2013 episode of RoH during which they lost a Tag Team Gauntlet match to Bobby Fish & Kyle O'Reilly.
EVOLVE Wrestling (2013-2020)[]
The Bravado Brothers debuted at EVOLVE 20, where they defeated the team of Maxwell Chicago & Sugar Dunkerton. They went on to compete in the Young Bucks Invitational held at EVOLVE 23 and EVOLVE 24, where they advanced to the final held at EVOLVE 24, winning the four-way against the teams of The Gentleman's Club, Dos Ben Dejos and Jigsaw & The Shard.
On January 10, 2014 at EVOLVE 26, The Bravado Brothers successfully defended Dragon Gate USA's Open The United Gate Championship against Eddie Rios & Jay Cruz of team Dos Ben Dejos. They remained United Gate Champions until EVOLVE 35 where they lost a Three-Way Elimination match to Anthony Nese & Caleb Konley of team Premier Athlete Brand.
After a year hiatus, The Bravados Brothers returned at EVOLVE 53, advancing in the first round of the EVOLVE Tag Team Championship Tournament after eliminating Anthony Nese & Caleb Konley. On June 10 at EVOLVE 62 The Bravados faced the champions Drew Gulak & Tracy Williams of team Catch Point but did not succeed in winning the titles. At EVOLVE 114, Bravado wrestled independently in a six-way ladder match for the vacant WWN Championship against opponents JD Drake, Anthony Henry, AR Fox, Austin Theory and Darby Allin. At EVOLVE 116, Bravado competed in a three-way match for the WWN title against Austin Theory and the reigning champion JD Drake. At EVOLVE 118 The Bravados challenged for the EVOLVE Tag Team titles but were unsuccessful against WWE NXT's team of The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford).
After February 15, 2019 at EVOLVE 121 in a match lost to JD Drake, Bravado wrestled frequently as a singles wrestler. He wrestled against opponents including Curt Stallion, John Silver, Babatunde, Stephen Wolf and several others in singles matches and occasionally in triple threats and four-ways. He finished the year with an appearance at EVOLVE 142, teaming with Anthony Greene in defeating Babatunde & Josh Briggs.
Bravado scored victories at EVOLVE 145 and EVOLVE 146 in singles matches against Denzel Dejournette and Stephen Wolf. These were Bravado's final matches before the promotion ceased operations in 2020.
World Wrestling Entertainment (2021-present)[]
205 Live[]
Upon signing with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) in 2021, he was rebranded under the ring name Andre Chase, debuting during the July 2 episode of 205 Live. He won a NXT Breakout Tournament Qualifier Match defeating Guru Raaj. He went on to make recurring appearances in singles matches on 205 Live.
NXT[]
Chase made his televised debut on the July 20 episode of NXT, where he was eliminated in the first round of the NXT Breakout Tournament by Odyssey Jones. He returned to NXT television during September and wrestled regularly during the succeeding months. Chase's return saw him become the founder of Chase University (Chase U), with multiple vignettes of his classes being shown. With his student body motivating him from the stands, Chase suffered losses to Bron Breakker, Xyon Quinn, Cameron Grimes, and Tony D'Angelo. On the December 28, 2021 episode of NXT, Chase was defeated by Harland, however, Bodhi Hayward, a student of Chase U, attempted to save Andre Chase from Harland. However, Harland carried away Hayward. Hayward was soon spared by Harland and Joe Gacy, with Andre Chase praising his student's bravery. The pair then competed in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament (2022), but were eliminated in the first round by the Grizzled Young Veterans (James Drake & Zack Gibson).
