Nhooph Al-Areebi (November 23, 1994) is a Canadian female professional wrestler of Arabic descent, better known by her ring name Jasmin Areebi. She is mostly seen throughout the Canadian and American independent wrestling promotions. She is currently signed to NXT under the ring name Jasmin.
Career
Areebi became first interested in professional wrestling around the age of sixteen. She saw an advertisement for a training class held by Toronto native and former TNA Knockout Taylor Wilde at the Squared Circle Training Centre.
Squared Circle Wrestling (2013-Present)
On January 20, at SCW Golden Hearts 2013, Jasmin teamed with Gabriella Vanderpool to defeat the team of Jewells Malone and Leah Von Dutch. Jasmine wrestled a three-way match on March 10, at SCW Adrenaline Cup 2013, against Gabriella Vanderpool and Leah Von Dutch. The match was won by Vanderpool. On June 29, at SCW Hostile Grounds, Jasmin took on Xandra Bale, picking up a victory in singles action.
On February 16, Jasmin won singles match victory over Angelina Love at SCW Adrenaline Cup 2014. During the May 18th edition of SCW, Jasmin teamed with Cherry Bomb to defeat Alexia Nicole and Seleziya Sparx.
Pure Wrestling Association (2013-Present)
On January 26, Jasmin lost to Gabrielle Vanderpool at PWA Holiday Hangover. At PWA Wrestle Craze 2013 - Tag 3, on April 28 Jasmin lost to Miss Beaa. On November 2, at PWA Quest for Glory 2, Jasmin beat Alexia in a Quest For Glory Clock match, winning at (5:33). This earned her right to challenge for the PWA Elite Women's Championship. She faced Jewells Malone, Kaitlin Diemond and the Women's Champion Beautiful Beaa, in a fatal four-way won by the Champion. On December 7, at PWA Spirit Of The Season 2, Jasmin first held title gold when she defeated Beautiful Beaa for the Women's Championship.
On January 18, at PWA Holiday Hangover, Beautiful Beaa avenged her title loss, by beating Jasmin for the Women's Championship.
Absolute Intense Wrestling (2013-Present)
At AIW Girls Night Out 9, on October 6, Jasmin teamed with Jody D'Milo in a losing tag match against Leva Bates and Xandra Bale. Later, Jasmin won her singles match against Jody D'Milo at AIW Girls Night Out 10', on October 6.
On March 29, at AIW Girls Night Out 11, Jasmin picked up a win over Angelus Layne. This was before she went on to lose against Mia Yim at AIW Girls Night Out 12. At AIW Battle Of The Sexes, on July 26, Jasmin challenged unsuccessfully for the AIW Intense Championship, against the champion Davey Vega. On October 4, AIW Girls Night Out 14, Jasmin defeated Alexia Nicole in a prior singles match, before teaming with Nicole to defeat "The Social Network" (Annie Social and Heidi Lovelace).
Classic Championship Wrestling (2013-Present)
During the September 13th edition of CCW, Jasmin unsuccessfully challenged Seleziya Sparx for the CCW Ladies Championship.
On the May 4th edition of CCW, Jasmin, unsuccessfully defended the CCW Ladies Championship against Leah Von Dutch and Ingrid in a three-way match won by Von Dutch.
Ultimate Championship Wrestling (2013-2014)
During the October 12th edition of UCW, Jasmin teamed with Alexis Nicole to defeat Arella Angel and KC Lofton. On the February 22nd edition of UCW, she won a singles match against Ingrid Isley. She met Isley again at the October 25th edition of UCW for the UCW Women's Championship held by Isley. Jasmin did not win the title and this marked her last UCW match.
New England Championship Wrestling (2014)
Jasmin wrestled a single match for NECW, at NECW March Madness on March 8, defeating Sammi Lane.
Big Time Wrestling (2014)
On March 7, Jasmin lost to Reby Sky.
Michigan Championship Wrestling Association (2014)
During the March 28th edition of MCWA, Jasmin won a match against Ingrid Isley.
Northern Championship Wrestling (2014)
Jasmin lost to Kaitlin Diemond on April 19, at NCW Femmes Fatales XIV.
Alpha-1 Wrestling (2014)
On July 6, at A1 Mighty Morphin Power Wrestling, Jasmin lost to Seleziya Sparx.
World Wrestling Entertainment (2015-present)
NXT (2015)
Jasmin joined a handful of international wrestling recruits training in WWE NXT.
Personal life
Areebi graduated from St. Joseph's College School in Toronto in 2012. She is currently studying Nursing at Toronto's George Brown College.
