Against All Odds 2021 was a professional wrestling event that was produced by Impact Wrestling on June 12, 2021. The event was broadcast live on IMPACT Plus.
Event[]
Sami Callihan & Tommy Dreamer faced The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows) in a tag team street fight to open the event. They attacked each other with several weapons including trash cans, steel chains and even a frying pan. The Brothers hit Dreamer with a Magic Killer through a table, but Sami broke their pin attempt, then knocked out both of them with a baseball bat and pinned Anderson to win the match.
Following this was a singles match between Joe Doering, accompanied by the rest of Violent By Design (Eric Young, Rhino & Deaner), and Satoshi Kojima, with Eddie Edwards in his corner. Doering used his power to dominate the first half, and Kojima eventually hit the Koji Cutter, then attempted a lariat, but Doering countered it with his Death Valley Driver/clothesline combo for a near fall, then followed with a spinning powerbomb to win the match.
Up next was a #1 Contender's match for the Impact X Division Championship featuring Petey Williams, Trey Miguel, Ace Austin, Chris Bey and Rohit Raju. After all the competitors took turns dominating the match, Petey hit Ace with an avalanche Canadian Destroyer and covered him, but Trey broke it up. Madman Fulton then invaded the match and attacked everyone except Ace, causing the referee to end the match in a no contest.
In the next match, Rich Swann went 1-on-1 against W. Morrissey. Rich hit a frenzy of strikes in the beginning, but that was stopped by a midair big boot from Morrisey. Rich eventually dodged another boot, causing Morrisey to crotch himself in the top rope, then hit a 450 splash off the apron and another one inside the ring for a near fall. Rich then hit a Phoenix Splash, but Morrisey instantly kicked out while holding onto him and hit an F-5. Rich flipped out of a chokeslam attempt and attempted a handspring cutter, but Morrisey kicked him in the back and hit two powerbombs in a row. When Morrisey checked Rich to see if he was still conscious, Rich flipped him off, causing Morrisey to hit a brutal third powerbomb and pin him to win the match.
Jordynne Grace and Tenille Dashwood, accompanied by Rachael Ellering and Kaleb with a K respectivelly, faced off in the next match. Tenille got the advantage with help from Kaleb, but Grace turned it into a competitive match when she countered a corner crossbody into a fallaway slam. Grace then locked Tenille in a sleeper hold, but Kaleb distracted the referee. Grace attempted the Grace Driver and Tenille countered into a small package and won the match. After the match Grace hit a Michinoku Driver on Kaleb.
After this, Fire 'N Flava (Tasha Steelz & Kiera Hogan) defended their Impact Knockouts Tag Team Championships against Kimber Lee & Susan. Tasha got isolated for a large chunk of the match, but she and Kiera retained after hitting Susan with a fisherman's neckbreaker and a frog splash.
In the next match, Crazzy Steve & Black Taurus of Decay challenged Rhino & Deaner of Violent by Design for the Impact Tag Team Championships. A highlight was Steve hitting Deaner with a tornado Pedigree. The end came when Rhino attacked Steve from behind, allowing Deaner to hit a DDT and pin him.
Deonna Purrazzo put her Impact Knockouts Championship on the line against Rosemary next. Rosemary assaulted the champion with strikes and hit an exploder suplex on the ramp, but Deonna turned the tides by going for her arm, then switched to her leg and even removed her knee brace. Rosemary hit a spear for a near fall, then attempted The Red Wedding, but was unable to hit it because of her damaged leg, and Deonna hit the Cosa Nostra to win the match.
The main event, which unlike the other matches was held at Daily's Place, was a match for the Impact World Championship between Moose and champion Kenny Omega. Early in the match, Moose charged at Omega on the ringside, but he moved away, causing Moose to shoot himself over the barricade and hurt his shoulder. Omega eventually hit the double underhook piledriver, then attempted the One Winged Angel, but Moose countered with the Game Changer lariat and followed with a spanish fly for a near fall. Moose then went for the Lights Out spear, but Omega pulled the referee, causing him to get hit instead. The Young Bucks invaded the match and hit Moose with several superkicks and the BTE Trigger, then allowed Omega to hit the One Winged Angel to retain his title.
Suddenly, there was a blackout, and Sami Callihan appeared in the ring! He assaulted Omega and the Bucks with a baseball bat, and Don Callis then told him he was fired.
