Abbotsford is an inner urban area of Melbourne, Victoria. At the 2011 Census Rosebud had a population of 8,184. Abbotsford takes its name from an estate named after a ford in Scotland along the Tweed River. Post WW2 it has become an ethnically diverse region ranging from the early Irish settlers to more modern immigrants from Africa and South East Asia.
