The title was created in March 2011 and was first won by Carnage, who won a tournament, last defeating Joey Starr in Cradley Heath. The championship is officially considered the top prize in Alternative Wrestling World. The longest reign of any title holder belongs to Jonny Storm , who held the title for 1126 days.
