The AEW International Championship is a championship a part of All Elite Wrestling (AEW).
History
The AEW All-Atlantic Championship was unveiled on the June 8, 2022 episode of Dynamite, which was followed by the announcement that the the first AEW All-Atlantic Champion would be crowned in the AEW All-Atlantic Inaugural Championship Tournament 2022. Despite the championship's name, the title was created in order to represent the All Elite Wrestling viewers in over 130 countries. Qualifying matches were held to determine participants for a Four Way Match at AEW-NJPW Forbidden Door to determine the inaugural champion, with Clark Connors, Miro, Malakai Black, and PAC all successfully qualifying. At Forbidden Door, PAC won the match to become the inaugural champion.
On the March 8th, 2023 episode of Dynamite, Tony Khan announced that the "AEW All-Atlantic" championship would be renamed to the "AEW International Championship". Khan stated that in partnership with Warner Bros/Discovery & Shazam: Fury of the God's they are "levelling up" the AEW All-Atlantic title.
