Mysterio competed in his first bout as a pro when he was only 14 years old. During those early, formative years, Rey became proficient enough to be awarded a mask by his uncle, who was also a wrestler. The mask has always been a vital part of who Rey Mysterio is ever since. Mysterio is the smallest man to ever win a World Championship.
