WCW Greed foi o último evento pay-per-view produzido pela World Championship Wrestling antes de sua falência. Ocorreu no dia 18 de março de 2001 no Jacksonville Memorial Coliseum na cidade de Jacksonville, Florida. Após este último pay-per-view a WCW foi comprada pela World Wrestling Entertainment|World Wrestling Federation. No evento principal Scott Steiner derrotou Diamond Dallas Page para manter o WCW World Heavyweight Championship, Steiner o pin com um "Steiner Recliner", levando Page a desmaiar.[2]
Na luta pelos títulos; Elix Skipper e Kid Romeo derrotaram Rey Mysterio, Jr. e Billy Kidman para serem os primeiros campeões do WCW Cruiserweight Tag Team Championship, Romeo pinou Mysterio depois de um "Last Kiss". Shane Helms derrotou Chavo Guerrero, Jr. para vencer o WCW Cruiserweight Championship. Os WCW World Tag Team Champions The Natural Born Thrillers (Sean O'Haire e Chuck Palumbo) derrotaram Totally Buff (Lex Luger e Buff Bagwell) para manterem o título, O'Haire aplicou uma "Seanton Bomb" em Luger depois de uma "Jungle Kick" e outra em Bagwell para na sequência cobrir os dois. Booker T derrotou Rick Steiner para vencer o WCW United States Heavyweight Championship, Booker fez o pin depois de um "Book End".[2]
