The Great American Bash

The Great American Bash é um evento anual de wrestling profissional produzido inicialmente pela National Wrestling Alliance e Jim Crockett Promotions e depois pela World Championship Wrestling. Voltou a ser realizado pela World Wrestling Entertainment em 2004. De acordo com Ric Flair, em sua autobiografia, To Be the Man, Dusty Rhodes inventou o conceito de The Great American Bash. As três primeiras edições (1985, 1986 e 1987) não foram pay-per-views, o evento mudou para a nova forma apenas a partir da edição de 1988.

Após a edição de 2000 do The Great American Bash pela World Championship Wrestling em 11 de junho de 2000, o pay-per-view não ocorreu novamente devido à aquisição da WCW pela WWE. No entanto, após um hiato quatro anos, o evento foi retomado em junho de 2004 pela WWE.
