Payback (2013) foi um evento pay-per-view produzido pela WWE, ocorreu no dia 16 de junho de 2013 no Allstate Arena na cidade de Chicago, Illinois. Esta foi a primeira edição da cronologia do Payback.

Antes do evento

O evento principal do Payback envolveu a luta entre John Cena contra Ryback pelo WWE Championship. A primeira estipulação da luta era um Ambulance match, porém na Raw do dia 27 de maio a estipulação foi mudada para um 3 Stages of Hell match, o primeiro Lumberjack match, o segundo um Tables match e em caso de necessidade de um terceiro, um Ambulance match.

Pré-show

No pré-show Sheamus venceu Damien Sandow, Sheamus venceu após um "Brogue Kick".^[2]

O evento

Na primeira luta do evento Curtis Axel derrotou Wade Barrett e The Miz para vencer o WWE Intercontinental Championship, Axel cobriu Barrett quando este estava preso por The Miz com o "figure-four". AJ Lee derrotou Kaitlyn por submissão para vencer o WWE Divas Championship. United States Champion Dean Ambrose derrotou Kane por contagem para manter o título.^[3] Alberto Del Rio derrotou Dolph Ziggler para vencer o World Heavyweight Championship, Del Rio venceu após acertar a cabeça de Ziggler. CM Punk derrotou Chris Jericho, Punk venceu após um "GTS".^[4] Seth Rollins e Roman Reigns derrotaram Randy Orton e Daniel Bryan para manter o WWE Tag Team Championship, Rollins fez o pin em Bryan após um chute na cabeça. No evento principal John Cena derrotou Ryback para manter o WWE Championship, no terceiro estágio da luta Cena arremessou Ryback com o "AA" para dentro da ambulância para vencer.^[5]
