Over the Limit (2012) foi um evento pay-per-view realizado pela WWE, ocorreu no dia 20 de maio de 2012 no PNC Arena na cidade de Raleigh, Carolina do Norte. Esta foi a terceira e última edição da cronologia do Over the Limit.

Pré-Show

Em uma luta transmitida pelo canal da WWE no YouTube Kane derrotou Zack Ryder, Kane venceu após um "Chokeslam".[2]

O evento

Na primeira luta do evento Christian venceu uma 20-Man Battle Royal ao eliminar por último a The Miz, para ter o direito a uma luta pelo WWE Intercontinental Championship ou WWE United States Championship naquela mesma noite a sua escolha; durante o evento Christian "escolheu" lutar pelo Intercontinental Championship. Os WWE Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston e R-Truth venceram Dolph Ziggler e Jack Swagger para manter o título, Kingston fez o pin em Ziggler com um "Trouble in Paradise". Layla derrotou Beth Phoenix para manter o WWE Divas Championship, Layla venceu com um "Lay-Out". Sheamus derrotou Chris Jericho, Randy Orton e Alberto Del Rio para continuar sendo o World Heavyweight Champion, Sheamus fez o pin em Jericho após um "White Noise". Brodus Clay derrotou The Miz, Clay venceu após aplicar o "The Splash". Christian derrotou Cody Rhodes para se tornar o novo WWE Intercontinental Champion, Christian venceu ao aplicar o "Killswitch". CM Punk derrotou Daniel Bryan para manter o WWE Championship, Punk venceu por submissão. Ryback derrotou Camacho. No evento principal John Laurinaitis derrotou John Cena, Laurinaitis venceu após a interferência de Big Show que havia sido "demitido", que aplicou "KO Punch" em Cena, com o resultado Laurinaitis manteve seu emprego e sua posição como general-manager da Raw e da SmackDown.[2][3]
