Battleground (2013) foi um evento pay-per-view promovido pela WWE, ocorreu no dia 6 de outubro de 2013 no First Niagara Center na cidade de Buffalo, Nova Iorque. O evento substituiu o Over the Limit no calendário da empresa. Esta foi a primeira edição da cronologia do Battleground.

Pré-show

No pré-show Dolph Ziggler derrotou Damien Sandow, Ziggler venceu após um "Zig-Zag".^[1]

O evento

Na primeira luta do evento o World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio derrotou Rob Van Dam por submissão para manter o título, Del Rio forçou a desistência de RVD com um "Cross Arm-breaker". Jack Swagger e Antonio Cesaro derrotaram Santino Marella e The Great Khali, Cesaro fez o pin em Khali. Curtis Axel derrotou R-Truth para manter o WWE Intercontinental Championship, Axel venceu após um "spinning facebuster". AJ Lee derrotou Brie Bella para manter o WWE Divas Championship, Lee venceu com um "roll-up".^[2] Goldust e Cody Rhodes derrotaram Roman Reigns e Seth Rollins, Rhodes fez o pin em Rollins após o "Cross Rhodes". Bray Wyatt derrotou Kofi Kingston, Wyatt venceu após o "Sister Abigail".^[3] CM Punk derrotou Ryback, Punk venceu após um golpe baixo sem que o árbitro percebesse. No evento principal Daniel Bryan contraRandy Orton acabou sem vencedor após a interferência de Big Show, com o resultado o WWE Championship continuou vago.^[4]^[5]
