Armageddon (2008)

Armageddon (2008) foi um evento pay-per-view realizado pela World Wrestling Entertainment, ocorreu no dia 14 de dezembro de 2008, no HSBC Arena em Buffalo, Nova Iorque. O evento contou com lutadores dos programas Raw, ECW, e SmackDown. Esta foi a nona e última edição da cronologia do Armageddon.

O evento teve dois combates envolvendo os principais títulos da WWE. O World Heavyweight Champion John Cena defendeu seu título contra Chris Jericho, a rivalidade dos dois ganhou combustível após Cena ter derrotado Jericho no Survivor Series e esse ter o atacado em edições da Raw, Cena derrotou Jericho e manteve o título. A outra disputa envolveu uma "Triple Threat match" entre Edge, Triple H e Jeff Hardy pelo WWE Championship, a vitória do oportunista Edge no Survivor Series patrocinada por Vickie Guerrero aumentou o nível de tensão entre os três lutadores; Jeff Hardy venceu e se tornou o novo WWE Champion. O evento teve ainda a disputa para definir entre CM Punk e Rey Mysterio, Punk derrotou Mysterio para ser o desafiante de William Regal pelo Intercontinental Championship. Vladimir Kozlov derrotou o ECW Champion Matt Hardy em uma luta interpromocional, sem título em disputa.
